Park “Star” in neighbourhood of family hotel, direction City Center

You can observe it from the rooms on the 1st and 2 floor of the pension. After 200 m walk you will find yourself in one of the most beautiful natural parks of Prague. In the middle of it is a famous summer castle “Star” - almost 500 years old, a former hunting lodge, which is 6 days a week open as a museum.

Not far away from the pension and the summer castle “Star” is the battlefield of "Battle of the White Mountain”, fought on Sunday, the 8th November 1620. It was the decisive battle of the Thirty Years War, which sealed the fate of the Czech Estates Rebellion and influenced for the next 300 years the fate of the Czech state.

Short walking distance passing by park "Star", not far from City Centre is the Břevnov Monastery – a baroque masterpiece.

“Wild Park Šárka”, between Airport and City Center

After a short walk from the guesthouse into the opposite direction, you arrive in a beautiful natural park. Walking tour leads you along a creek, through the rocky canyon, where rock formations called “Girls jump” and “Jug” can be seen.

After about 1 km walk, there is the most beautiful recreational bath in Prague. Its spirit will remember everyone of the romantic 30th years of the last century. Only few steps further there is garden restaurant "U Veselíka”, where by the consumption of the “golden beverage” (beer) you can enjoy the beautiful view on rock formation “Girls jump” ... and still be in Prague - close to tram and bus stops Wild Šárka... Incredible!

Airport Prague 6 Ruzyně

The "international" is no need to being introduced, but the "original one" – situated closer to our hotel and now serving mostly domestic, private or governmental flights - is another jewel that you must see. Its 30th years character makes it an interesting place to visit, specially it is in good condition and fully serving. Both airports - old and new are easily accessible by bus, directly from the pension. The “original” airport is reachable by walk.

Beautiful Spa City KARLOVY VARY – Carlsbad

The beautiful spa town of “Carlsbad” - “Karlovy Vary” One-day trip to the historic spa is made by our clients quiet often. The reason is our location, just 3 minutes from the road E48/R6 that leads directly to Karlovy Vary.

On the route to Karlovy Vary there are castles LOKET and BEČOV NAD TEPLOU, in Bečov you can see world famous Romance reliquary of St. Maur going back to 13th century.

There are another two castles definitely to visit - KARLŠTEJN and KŘIVOKLÁT easily accessible by the road E50/D5, respectively E48/R6 by car in half an hour. On your way to “Křivoklát” you will pass by castle “Lány” used by Czech Government for the representative purposes. The public has access to a beautiful park. By visiting Karlštejn do not forget to make a stop at “Koněprusy Caves”, there are no better in Bohemia. Both castles can be reached by rail or one-day robust cycling trip.

Shopping in Prague, near our family hotel

Whole Prague is actually itself one big shopping center. Near the guesthouse are: the “Šestka”, “Metropole Zličín” and “Avion Shopping Park” with plenty of specialized stores like Ikea, Electro world, Tesco, plenty of small Boutiques, Multiplex of Cinemas, Coffees and Restaurants.
